It’s Friday so we decided to make a new cocktail… and let’s face it, our blog needs some more amazing recipes on it. Lavender is our jam this Summer, well always, but anyway you’re sure to love this refreshing cocktail!
First you want to make the homemade Lavender Simple Syrup. We used dried lavender for cooking which you can purchase online or in a specialty foods store, maybe even your backyard (or left over wedding decor if you’re like me, but that’s another post)
Lavender Simple Syrup
3 tbsp Dried Lavender
1/2 cup of Water
1/2 cup of Sugar
Bring water and lavender to a boil in a small pot. Stir in the sugar and let it dissolve completely. Remove from heat and let cool. Store in a glass container in the refrigeration for up to one week.
Now to the good stuff … the cocktail!
Lavender Citrus Fizz
1 oz. Lavender Simple Syrup
1 oz. St. Germain
1.5 oz. Vodka
.5 oz Lemon Juice (fresh is preferred, or even Meyer Lemons if in season
Copper Cocktail Shaker (which you can purchase here)
Combine Syrup, St. Germain, Vodka, and Lemon Juice over ice in our gorgeous copper shaker. Shake til your heart is content. Pour over ice (we recommend an ice sphere or large cube). Top with soda for that fizz. You could garnish with a lavender sprig if you want to be extra fancy. Cheers!
